Cape Sheet Metal Works’ History
Cape Sheet Metal Works was founded 2008 by Airvent Group Founder Mark Rogers. In those days, the company had a small staff compliment of 15 staff and operated from Brackenfell Industria in premises of around 200m2. Cape Sheet Metal Works then operated mainly with manual machinery and most manufacturing was done by hand. The company’s main business was manufacturing, but also employed two project Managers to handle site installations and ducting installation projects.
Cape Sheet Metal Works grew at a great pace and employed more teams for manufacturing throughout 2009 and 2010, then making use of the expertise of qualified subcontractors to do the installations of ducting on the various sites. In total, there were six installation teams.
In an ever-growing market the company grew even bigger, and by 2011, enjoyed a staff compliment of 26 permanent staff and six subcontracting Installation teams.
By 2012, Management decided to streamline the business and head into a supply-only direction which was an even greater step for the business towards growth.
Cape Sheet Metal Works naturally outgrew their premises and relocated to larger premises with double the workshop space as before as well as more office space. The company also invested in new machinery and automated the workshop substantially. This made it possible for the company to grow its staff compliment to a total of 35 permanent staff members.
Cape Sheet Metal Works offers a unique range and service to their customers. Cape Sheet Metal Works offers a complete range of galvanised rectangular ducting, spiral/round ducting, stainless steel ducting (specific), mildsteel ducting, galvanized protection cages, products manufactured from angle iron and/or square tubing, standard sound attenuators (as per client specification), standard control dampers as well as specific galvanised and stainless steel extraction canopies.
Cape Sheet Metal Works can manufacture to suit the client’s needs and according to client specifications.
